Pueblo Colorado offers great Pool - Billiards action. Everyone is getting in stroke before the BCA Nationals, held in Las Vegas Nevada annually, around the middle of May.
Pueblo is the home of two BCA National Champions. (Debbie Snook and Carl Coffee) I am proud to say that I was there for Debbie's Championship match a few years back and for Carl's this past May in 2007.
The pool players in Pueblo are kind of like one big family. Most everyone knows everyone and all get along pretty well for the most part.
We have some pretty good players. pool - Billiards is a serious matter here in Pueblo. There are at least 30 players who can run out a rack of 8 or 9 ball without notice. There are many more who are way above the beginner level.
BCA is the serious league for us here. There isn't any handi cap and it's A straight up game just the way I like it.
Many new players start with the APA. They get some playing under their belt and get to know some players. They then begin to switch teams and players here and there and before you know it they find their way onto a BCA team.
Pueblo hosts the annual Dr. Cue Tournament. This is where Tom Rossman (AKA Dr. Cue) shows up does a free pool - billiards exhibition show on Friday evening and then plays in the tournament on Saturday and Sunday. This tourney is a fund raiser to help one of the Pueblo Colorado ladies teams pay for the Vegas tournament in May.

I personally play pool out of Diamond Jim's Tavern. It is the only place in town that has Diamond Pool Tables with Simonis 860 cloth. Our team has been together for around 10 years. (trading a player or 2 back and forth every now and then.)

As I type this text, My Buddy is on his way to pick me up for a 9 ball play off match. We play 9 ball in the summer and 8 ball in the winter on our main BCA league.
Our team finished first place in the regular league play standings so we get home tavern advantage for the entire play offs. It has been a couple years since we won a title and we all have a bulls eye on the Pueblo City Championship this year.
Well it's about time for me to grab my cue and head for our match. Subscribe to the blog with the links above or book mark this page so you can check back for updates.
